If you are going to load a .map from a nanocom then make sure you take all precautions to avoid the connection being lost.

I was discussing this with Mike from Dynachip and he did say it was a concern to use a nanocom as he has had vehicles that have had bricked ECU's due to losing the communication and then the motor is going nowhere until it is fixed.

On the BBS website they have a download that states all the requirements to use the nanocom to load a new map. ( see attachment)

One of the reasons I paid to have Mike come and load the map. May cost a fair amount but peace of mind is sometimes worth paying for in my humble opinion.

Cheers

Sadly I live in Ireland and I don't think Mike will travel here to do it ;-)

I have been worried about this

Nelly , i always tell people to have a good power supply connected and when uploading to not fiddle with the nanocom just let it do its thing ,,,,, I have programmed over 50+ cars and have given free to over 70 more ,, all have had great success , If you would like a copy ,, i also have the TD5 Manuel program now ,,,

Martin ,,, If you can find another ECU ,, you can post yours to me , i will upload and post it back ,,, easy . You don`t need to find a spare "NNN" ecu just a ecu from a TD5 auto ,,Im happy to help out ,,
Postage would be about $30 AUD each way , still heaps cheaper than getting a shop to do this ,,,Also a shop will make out they are magicians and ( NO ONE SHOULD DO THIS ) BLA BLA BLA >>>>>> THEY like to keep people coming back ,,,,,,if people knew how easy it was ,, well they wouldn't get one person thru the door !
