Hi guys, I currently have a 06 FL1 Freestyle TD4 auto and am thinking of changing for a 59 FL2 GS TD4 auto from a Honda main dealer.

The FL2 has done 47,000 and they are asking £14,595. I haven't driven it yet (hopefully will be over weekend) but wondered what people thought about FL2's and also the price being asked?

My freestyle has done 85,000 miles with fsh and according to What Car is worth around £5k. Do people think this is about right or if not what do you think I can get for it?

Cheers in advance

John

I switched 6 months ago and am very impressed. Test drive it, it's different and much improved in my opinion. Price seems reasonable, though you might be pushed to get £5000 trade from a Honda dealer.

Chalk and cheese, the fl2 is on another level compared to the fl1. The interior is far better , it's nicer to drive, and the quality is a couple of levels higher. The boot isn't big though as the spare is under the floor

Personally I'd go for a D3 over FL2 as the appear to be similarly priced.

It's a fair point, if you need the space or you do a lot of towing the d3 is hard to beat.

Although when we were looking the extra £250 tax, £600 a year diesel plus other servicing and insurance costs put us off

Compared to an FL1 the FL2 will cost lots more in terms of insurance, fuel, and maintenance any way so that extra expenses of the D3 doesn't look so bad. The D3 is in a different league to the FL2 in terms of space and ability.

I agree it is a more capable car, it just depends on whether the op needs its space or off road abilities and whether he can or is prepared to stump up the extra£70-£100 a month.

Cheers guys, I took it for a quick spin earlier and it seem very refined. Going back on Saturday with my FL1 as didn't have that today, guess it will all boil down to how much they are prepared to offer me for mine !!
