Thinking of buying a 4.4 autobiography 53 plate

Ok guys need your help here as the title says im looking at buying a 4.4 autobiography on a 53 plate its covered 71k miles its up for £1600, is there anything i should be looking out for? What is more reliable the petrol engines of the diesel ones? Please be honest!

Who wants a 53 plate 4.4 V8 now? Nobody, prices as falling through the floor, even for diesels - so offer them a silly price and see how low you can get it for. £16k? More like £10k and the dealer will probably still make a profit on it!
