Bit late now, but when i park up at home I now unroll the load cover and take everything out of the Disco, so they can see there's nothing in it .. well, two cheap seats and a blanket!

For similar reasons I also regularly roll it onto ramps, or remove a wheel or three and leave it a few days on axle stands to make it look like it's always needing fixing (most of the time it's bloody true!) or leave it with the bonnet up during the day and occasionally go out to it with a boxfull of spanners and leave broken bits, old props, bushes, UJ's air filters, bits of pipe/tube etc etc near it .. and always just do stuff to it, even if it's only wiping an oil leak dry .. ;)

Used to have pikeys forever stopping offering to take it off me hands, but just tell 'em I can't afford not to have it and just have to keep it running somehow! It's also rarely left clean too ...

thanks keymeister but i'm in hampshire. got a good landrover breaker a few mile way from me he is taking a window out of 1 for me and taking it to his house so i can collect in the evening, thats good service for you you would not get that with a "ford" brakers
