Hey all
So i saw a video on youtube of this guy who has a turbo which was covered in thick rust, a lot like mine. he soaks it in a solution for 2 hours and when he removes it its as good as new.
Does anyone have any experience with such a solution? if so which one would you reccomend? i'm more into the "leave to soak" ones than the "rub in" ones :D

You could use electrolysis. There are plenty of videos on YouTube.
The results can be amazing but it's just a bit of a pain setting everything up.

THE best rust/scale remover for steel is phosphoric acid. It can be purchased on ebay at strengths up to around 82%, but it needs to be diluted to around 30% to work effectively. Dissolves rust and passivates the steel surface with iron phosphate. I've tried many other rust treatments over the years, but none are a patch on phosphoric acid.

What metal are turbos?
