A friend and I did our 1st greenlaning today since purchasing our 90`s, in Thetford.
With the kind insights of Breckland 4x4 club before we set of and a good map we had a good day. The trails were popular with trail bikes, quads and ramblers (who were the least friendly ), and even a couple of horses/riders. Scenery is nice, saw a couple of deer.
Ranging from (boring) flat, loose gravel tracks to more undulating ruts and then some more seriously large ruts and changing terrain with a bit of mud
here and there, yes even after this long dry spell!, it was a good first outing.
I even struggled to get out of the most gnarly deeeeep set of mud potholes! needing several attempts (with my mate saying `your wheels off the ground, its wheelspinning, the tyre is rubbing the top of the wheel arch, you won`t get out of there`- he`s hoping he will get a chance to use his new tow ropes of course And I did get out with diff lock .
I think you could do it all in a day and to repeat it would be boring, but still a very good 1st session and the 90 passed with flying colours.
Would post pics but dont know how.
