Hi all,
Well this morning armed with my flexi dremmel and cutting disc about a half penny size I cut off the solid band on the top hose engine side, popped in the mgzr thermostat, clamped it around hose, pushed top hose back on and clamped that, topped up with antifreeze, job done, gauge now holds at around midway and the heater works, clears windows, warms feet, beautiful..more importantly engine is now running at temp and not luke warm, took me around 40 mins to do, didnt fancy taking the top covers off the engine etc, just a dremmel and a engineers mirror, feeling toastie
