Ok so my G plate V8 has gone to a new owner.......
And ive replaced it with this little gem ;)

MyDisco_zps9fee1283.jpg

I got it from a guy at work who wasnt using it, it had been stood for 14months untill last week.... I was a little sceptical as to wether it would run ok....... But heres the story so far!!!

Purchased for £250! yes thats £250 quid!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No MOT or TAX :(

NO KEYS OR REMOTE.................... Big downside to the car, when it was parked up at the previous owners work, some numbscull decided to throw away the keys just for a laugh!!! Well that laugh has just cost me £195, for a locksmith to come and cut a key, and for Gumtree 4x4 in sussex to supply and program a new remote!

So after all the agro of getting that sorted, I still didnt know if it would run ok??????? Well............. I fitted a new battery, turned the engine over a few times by hand, bled out the fuel system, and................ It fired up straight away! Ticks over sweet too...... amazing, after 14months standing!!!!

Then the cooling system decided to airlock on me, but no biggie, bled it out at the thermostat housing, and hey presto, heaters work!

I had it recovered ;) to my works, and started to replace a few bits n bobs!

Looks very nice on the outside, whats the rest like mate...

Considering it had stood for 14months, not too bad, its got the usual disco traits, central locking plays up, sunroofs leak (only small amounts) rust in various places (not the boot floor though), all in all its pretty good ! For a disco lol

Just a quick update!!!

After MAJOR corrosion problems (rear o/s body mount area) were sorted this week, and other small corrosion areas have been done, its MOT time this friday at 4.30pm!

EVERYTHING CROSSED eh LOL
