the three yellow lights

the 3 yellow lights came on on my 2000 disco today , abs,tc hdc. just checked my rear pads and there nearly on the metal ?would this cause the lights to come on? got some mintex ones to fit in the morn ,but was wandering if it was something serious, tried turning on and off a few times but there still there

got a top tip for yer...........dont get a posh one and lights wont pop up!
nah am just jelouse thats all!
sound like if yer pads wus on thier arse then yer its a possible cause for the tc and abs, not sure what the third light was though

It is not unknown for a set of brake pads wear down to the metal and the metal filings find thier way onto the ABS sensors (magnetic), this prevents the ABS ecu 'seeing' the segments on the rotor and creating an out of synch sensor. After changing pads if light does not go out, remove ABS sensors and clean and put back.
