Admittedly not under its own steam, but it saw sunshine again today.
Not sure replacement tyres are any better than those removed, but can pump them up when necessary

first evenings work finished.... no pics, but more rot found.
Removed dash and cut away the inside of the Nearside A pillar. Job for the week is to clean up the inside of the A Pillar to see how bad it is. Also cut bulkhead to suit new panel.

I took some pictures
Dash out.
Big arze hole in the footwell and bulkhead.
We had a go with pneumatic nibbler.
I found a guy wielding an angle grinder in anger too
Door post with a chalk line for cutting.
Top corner of the bulkhead from the outside where the three panels meet, a real haven for the tin worms.
Also discovered a little more attention is required on the drivers side sill.
Sadly it has to get worse before it gets better
Bit of luck next week we can commence with the welding hey MHM

No stress, lines are only guides, new panels cut to suit
Did you get all excited and get that 75mm air cut off tool?

I remember the Mary Rose being brought up from the depths when I was a kid, it was rather exciting stuff back then
I was looking at air power shears today and I'll see if I can get one for Friday, it should make preparing new steel easier, cleaner and safer as there are no sparks.

Most of those cutters are rated for 1.2mm, occasionally 1.6mm steel. Can’t see anything better.

Started drilling out spot welds on the D2 slam panel, to remove the crap left over from its removal.

That's my trouble at the mo, trying to find something that will do 16G (roughly 1.5mm) sheet, most of them are rated up to 18G which is roughly 1.1mm, it has to do 1.2 with ease not as a maximum ideally.

well....... i tried today, but it is steady rain, so a little bit of cutting and derusting carried out. Thats about it
