Hi all,
I'm Paulo and I'm from the North of Portugal (Cabeceiras de Basto, Braga).
I have a Land Rover Series III (1973) 109L and I just started it's full renovation.
I'm having a bit of difficulty in finding original parts or at least high quality new ones.
Any advice?

Welcome to LZ, Paulo. :)

As far as I know, you can order parts online from Paddock Motors, John Craddock, LR Series, and the other usual suspects, and they will mail them to you. Obviously that may cost a bit more than if you live in the UK.
Also, I think there are LR dealers in Portugal. Not certain of that. I am going to call up @Shippers , as he lives in Portugal and may be able to advise further.
 
Welcome...parts are difficult here and certainly main dealers here in Algarve are usless...want to Fiial for top shock bushes for a 90 they had 1 in stock in all their branches together!...have used Craddocks and postage is quick once youv'e set up account...check out clubs landrover de Portugal if you haven't already...might have some brake parts that came with my 101 that are maybe for a 109.. new shoes cylinders...

your making me jealous lol we had some sunshine today had a few hours at the shore with the dog, followed by steak pie in the pub as it pi$$ed down :(

Me & the misses were just talking 1/2 hour ago about renting a property abroad next year for 6 months
im coming to yours :D

Still can't drive it though the bird in the pic is my matriculation agent and she is messing me around...not unknown here with paperwork...

That's a pita, paper work is a nightmare here sounds like your having a hard time :(
It will be worth it when its all sorted ;)

Found me a house yet :D

As bought but colour has to be green to matriculate but military colours not the best when you plan to explore here and Morroco...partner Lucy said the same till I painted it as close to Kawasaki ninja green I could get then she changed her mind...will post update photo tomorrow...thanks all for your interest...

fair enough driving around lincolnshire doesnt hold the same implications as morocco and many other places,given the resources and political conditions id love a trek from eygpt(el alamien) to tunisia

Both glass slide now as well as 1 grill on door tops,already have a grill fitted to roll bar behind seats,rack above cab will have thule roof box and wire base with Jerry-cans fitted,just got work out a grill that slides down from underside of rack to cover screen then cab secure with padlocks all round...
