Interesting piece of history.

I've seen a few concourse restorations that include period specific rivets in picture orientated sequences.

It might as well go to an enthusiast who will get it running and drive it.
 
I think it looks beautiful the way it is. The only problem with restoring a vehicle like this, is you loose so much of the original vehicle in the process.

Totally agree, it should be preserved as is. I felt the same about the Bluebird wreck when it was recovered from Coniston. It should have been preserved and put on display in the Ruskin Museum in the condition it was raised which would have made a much better and more popular display than the rebuilt / replicated thing they are currently fighting over.
 
I’d like to see it returned to a structurally sound, running vehicle, with as much originality as possible.
It’s a shame for it to remain as it is but a full restoration would spoil it imho.....
It ain’t mine though (sadly)
