The Lake District Sat 19th Aug

Anyone fancy a little trip out and show me a few lanes for a hour or two

I'll be camping at Millom which I'm told aspires to be the armpit of the Lakes but there's a site and beach that allows dogs and fires (probably not combined) and I've got a free pass Saturday arvo.

Nothing full on, don't wanna get me fat @rse stuck but just a gentle trundle around to see what's gonna fall orf next

If it's any help, this is a screenshot of Millom and it's locality from Trailwise ... Anything marked Red, brown or black is a Byway, unclassified or classified lane, check the key. I've done the Northernmost lane across Bootle Fell and it was a few years back so can't remember it much other than having fantastic views, so don't think it's a gnarly route. Trailwise says "Usage record (UEF) - date: 30/08/2015 type : foot User: Peter Scanlon [6978] user note: 3 vehicles LC80 & LR 90 no issues".

I've also driven the lane alongside the coast, potentially susceptible to tides ... across the bay at Askham, lovely drive but might be very different now! Dated info on Trailwise "Usage record (UEF) - date: 31/08/2015 type : car User: Peter Scanlon [6978] user note: from the carpark at S. end to Duddon lifeboat station, 2 vehicles LC80 & LR90, no issues"

The lane that looks promising, the circular Byway just South of Millom, only has a little dated info on Trailwise, "last in motor vehicle (3 usage note, made 06/11/2016 (by user 5086) - LR 110 3 Occupants Easy hard surface scenic byway" but sounds ideal for seeing if summat will fall off or not ..
