What a disaster! Looks like the one on the trailer had just finished a major restoration. Owner will be gutted.

Oh dear what a shame on all counts, we don't know the circumstances but not good for the landrover peeps

The FB link states the 130 was straight out of restoration and en route to being delivered to the new owner in the US. Can't help but think wrong 130 on the wrong trailer being towed by the wrong car. Really do feel for the driver/restoration company. But whoever did the strapping down did a great job ;)

Ah now! tis but a scratch begorrah begorrah begorrah. diddly diddly doo. listen ere ye bleedy leprechaun that aint goin to buff out. If this such a valuable prize going to usa surely a better vehicle to tow with say a evoque :D

We have same trailer (if it is the 14 foot one which it looks like) and it is good for the mini digger sand and general work but do not like moving cars on it as if you load engine first there is too much weight on the front and other way around too much weight at the back, my son had a toyota pick up on it for about a km and said he did not dare go above 20 mph

Well fortunately the damage to the 130 shouldn't be TOO much of a disaster to put right, back to the restoration company for a few more weeks though.

The doors are bent out of perpendicular, the bulkhead is bent out of perpendicular, so the outriggers will be twisted meaning the chassis is probably carped. Very fubared I reckon :(

If they had the right insurance there shouldn't be an issue, 750Kg for trailer and even if you say 2 tonne for the 130 its still within limits of 3.5 tonnes. Not sure if normal insurance would cover things you are towing. Heaven forbid if they have personal insurance as well as they will seek every get out.

Such a shame I love 130's.

Then there is the issue of having the right licence, and being on tacho etc. :)

the police report would be interesting reading;)

as to insurance, theres so many fb etc. posts related to this that any investigator will 'know' what happend before the claim paperwork lands on their desk

personally I think a 90 is too short to tow a 130 and that trailer also contributed to the incident:confused:

ultimately it's the driver that is responsible.................

Rich. (hope the straps have been cut & binned, they have definately lived their 'lives';))
