Hi all.
We finally bit the bullet, and a few days ago took delivery of our first ever landy, the 'Green Meanie'.
It's a 1997 Defender 110 300tdi CSW, and I have plans...
I've taken out the rear bench seats, and will be fitting a plywood/rubber load area and mid bulkhead so the dogs don't decide the passenger seats are better mud coloured. An alarm and central locking are waiting to be fitted, and a cubby to replace the silly middle front seat. A disklok (already got, and fitted) should make dodgey plebs look at the other landys near me and leave mine alone. The thirsty 300tdi will have an egr blank and a decat front pipe. I may yet add more soundproofing and new carpets front and middle. Black chequer on bonnet and wings, and along the sills.
We drove it back from its old home, and with the stories we've read on this and other forums were a little worried about how agricultural it would be. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. Not too loud, not too uncomfortable, and not too slow. I've been in worse petrol saloons than this!
I don't think we'll be off-roading much, but it's for hauling dogs and stuff around.

If you all don't mind, I may be posting pictures of the stuff I do. Then again, I might not. I have a terrible memory!
