Hi Landlovers, I just found this site lookin for a solution to my key fob not workin. I had a Range Rover V8 company car when I was just still a teenager, that was near 40 yr ago. I was a mechanic and went on to be a teacher. Retired now due to that dodgy brake lining material that still kills millions. Im UK where you die before you get compo or even benefits. I've had em all from 1948 short wheelbase to brand new disco's V8, TD4, 2n a quarter petrol and so on. Any motor that still has 70% of em on road since 48 has proved itself the best 4 by 4 by far as they said. Despite my gov policy to allow murder I do believe in buy Brit. I prefer the good old originals but since retirement I am on limited budget. I always put the freelander at the bottom due to its monocoque build and limited gearbox but I recently got my first and I am very pleased. When I get the cash and if health/life continues I will be going for Range Rover Vogue. it would have been V8 petrol in the past but I would have to go DERV for financial reasons. I've not worked with motors for a long time so skills are outdated but I still always DIY. Tis gr8 to join you all and keep the dream alive. be well, stay well, ALANdy4life.
