YIIIPPPPPEEEEE,

Picked up my keys to the new (to me) P38.

This my 3rd P38 and 5th overall Rangie....

The previous P38's have been the 4.6's and this is a 2.5 DSE, but I still love the thing to death....will post pics when I get a mo.

Although you do have to get the thing spinning over 2200rpm before she will decide that moving at anything other than glacial speed is a good idea, but I can live with that if she returns the predicted 25-29 mpg on the runs to work, and maybe a little less when we are 'Playing'.

Have to ask though....the much mentioned 'Hot Start' issue....what would be considered a long cranking time, this beasty turns over for 3 maybe 4 seconds before she catches...is this a symptom of impending probability or is this pretty standard??

Right now going back out to look at her again, then go for another drive....that £120 quid in motion potion isn't going to last long if I keep taking it for short trips....but at the moment I don't care....SHE'S GREAT....:D:D:D:D:D

Glad you like it.I had petrols before getting a dse and i really have never seen the performance thing as a problem. If someone wants performance they buy a sports car ,the range rover for me is about getting there in comfort and arriving unstressed. Driving in this manner also saves you having to constantly look out for speed camaras!Looking forward to seeing some pics and high 20,s mpg is very achievable if its running right.

WOOOOHOOOOO....

Still happy as a pig in the perverbial.....

Started first turn of the key this morning, drive the 21 odd miles to work, steady going, no rushing, usual speeds I would've maintained in the company car (can't go much beyond 50mph on the M25 anyway..!!) and she returned a much liked 31.2mpg (indicated).

Happy man.....:D:D:D:D

And Here she is....

I am no David Bailey so please excuse the not so great photography...
