what i did with me last series was take the centre dash triangle thing out and cut the right hand side off leaving a 15mm tab on it then cut some aluminium plate the right size and shape to go from the left hand side of the console i had leaft and the dash clock surround

gave me enough space for me extra switches 2 lighter plugs a battery gauge and a radio nice and neat

only downfall is i couldnt use the bulkhead vent on the drivers side anymore as i couldnt get at it but a small price to pay for the extra switch and stuff space :D:D:D

im thinking about keeping the right pod side? as it is and moving the left one across 10cm ish the puting a pice of plate across the hole that way i only have to block off one of the vents on the passanger side (i never sit there so dont give a sh!t ) and that way i get to keep the vent on my side. I may have to reach a bit but i still get my air :)

ha ha ha ok its glass with tiny heating cables in it. ive moved to norway and as you know the heaters on a series landy suck so in -15-20 all you get is ice on the windscreen every time you breath on it. i got it from devon 4x4 it cost about £200 plus the vat ill let you know if its any good as soon as ive fitted it

cool cheers matey what an unusual thing to have a heated windscreen in a series landy

i guess thats why the back windows are heated on gaylanders so you can keep your hands warm while pushing it out of the mud :D:D:D:D

i might have to get some on the back then driving in snow ,5mt plus is a real challenge i went out with the norweigan land rover club last weekend and got stuck big time you need big big tyres run at low low pressure i thought some snow chains on my 205 r16 would cut it no chance:)

i took the triangle thing out too, swapped the lhs and rhs round so the flanges point outward, then bolted an ally plate across.
can still get the vent, and the plate is big enuff for 5 gauges with room for 5 switches too.

The series 2 club grouped together a year or so ago and bought the heated glass direct from the supplier... £100 a set, i was very tempted, but, as I park the landy inbetween two houses where two exhausts from boilers exit, it rarely actually gets iced up!
