Hi All here from South Africa
Thanks for accepting me as a new member. Been following a lot of your topics and the responses and all seems to be done in a "grown-up" way. Quite impressed.....
I have a question and really hope that someone can come up with a possible solution.
My Rangie has started building pressure in the cooling system and this started directly after the LR agents did work on the vehicle. Whatever they did, they had to drain the cooling system to do.
As long as I keep the RPM below about 2000, not much happening. The minute I exceed this, then it blows the cooling liquid from the overpressure release hole on the coolant bottle.
I have had the vehicle tested 3 times for possible cylinder head gasket problems, came up negative each time.
Is it possible that the thermostat might be the culprit?
Is it possible that I might have a airlock in the system?
Under normal town driving, there's no problems, no overheating and no leaking of cooling fluid. Only happens at highway speeds.
Vehicle has never overheated and no one seems to be able to solve this.
If anyone has any advice or comment, this would be greatly appreciated.
