TDV6 radio

Hi,

I've recently bought a 2007 TDV6, the screen on the radio head unit is black so you cant see the display. Its also terrible at picking up signal (not that you can see when its found a station!) and also has a couple of missing buttons.

I've found a replacement head unit on eBay, however the head units for the Freelander look exactly the same, and there's more of them on there at cheaper price.

My question is does anyone know if they're compatible?

It's been physically damaged by the looks of it.
A Freelander HU isn't likely to fit, as the console and electric systems are different.

I'd just fit an aftermarket HU, as the one in there looks like a base model with internal amp, so changing it is of no real significance, although you'll loose PDC if it's fitted.

Poor reception could be the antenna or its amplifier.

Stick to a D3 unit, the Freelander one is definitely not plug and play
