Tdi300 Heater!

Hi Gents. heating in car packed up! temp guage showing OK and not overheating the engine so me thinks the small "rad" in the dash is blocked or is it a possible air lock etc. All info greatly received.



flush out water system? air bleed nozzles? new heater rad?

look for escaping water....interior wetness,coolant level drop....before taking out dash to look for it.

Is there a coolant level drop?Indicative of leak,possibly.Look at water hoses pretty carefully under bonnet,then move onto trying to get air lock out...plenty about that on here if you search it......but do what you can to avoid taking that dash out!!!!Depending on your idea of fun,it could be very entertaining or........:crazy:

You could try checking the operation of your heater controls.
There is a water shut off valve to the heater that closes only when the controls are set to cold.If the controls are out of sync valve could be shut.
Located at connections to heater matrix.
