Hi All
A mate of mine just got back from a lovely trip to Botswana, him in a bus and his landy on a truck! His power steering pump broke en-route home, so he at least enjoyed his holiday. The shaft that comes out of the pump to the pulley came out completely, his mechanic sez it is terminal for the pump, but my mate replaced it 1.5yrs ago (1yr garentee!).
Can it be that a relatively minor clip/bolt/fixture could have caused this shaft to come out?. I ask on his behalf cause he is a stubborn git who believes his mechanic completely and is prepared to pay muchos grande to have it replaced, i on the other hand am an eternal sceptic. Thanx.
Peter
