I've just received my Snorkel from First Four. The kit is a SS581HF which is listed on the Safari website as the right one for the TD5 (1999 onward) AND the TD4.
On the FF website, it shows the snorkel as the type that uses the wing to seal the unit, and that's what I've got in the kit. There's no pipework, just a rubber gasket and all the fixings.
They list this as P/N: FF3027 and is shown here:
SAFARI SNORKEL for DEFENDER Td5
However, on Paddock they have a TD5 snorkel listed with their P/N DA3027 but with a different diagram, showing pipework that goes through the wing, and is sealed by a rubber hose, akin to the way the TDI snorkel fits.

The thing is, this kit is listed on the Safari website as for both TD5 and Puma engines, yet both the sellers I've just listed sell a separate, and more expensive snorkel for the Puma engine.
Ofcourse I could go and look at my Landy and see what's behind the air intake panel, but it's in the garage now, and my other car is parked infront of it.
So my question is, why the difference, and which one should be right, for those that have fitted it.
