Good morning all, just after a push in the right direction -
A Ftreind has a td5, he was driving on the motorway when red light came on, ploom of steam and engine made a funny noise.
I have had a look and found all the water has been dumped in to the sump, no indication of head gasket fail, no oil in the turbo, no fuel in the oil. I'm worried it's no 5 piston going through the bore as no fuel in the sump I don't think it's the fuel rail issue. I have not heard of a head gasket failing so quick as in working fine bang not working. I don't think it's the oil cooler as I would expect sludge in the rocker/ header tank, all clean.

Any idea? I'm hoping it's just head gasket but have a feeling it's gonna be something worse

Hope u can help and thans for looking

Hi James, I have not yet, I will try it first, I did wonder about that but would of expected some sludge, the system is clean, bit of an odd ball one, I will try it the weekend and let you know , thanks for replying -
