Td5 leaning

Hi, came back from the safari park the other day and parked car on my drive. An hour later i went back outside and the car was leaning to the left and and the gap between the rear left tyre and wheel arch was about 10mm.
I pressed the air bag suspension button and left it running for 5 minutes.
Drove the car and been ok since until i went out just and exactly the same again.
Does this mean the airbag is knackered?

Certainly sounds like the most probable cause. It doesn't seem a difficult job (nor that expensive). I think the air bags have a life expectancy of approx 5 years or so (or at least recommended to change every 5 yrs or so).

Thanks. Will look at getting it done. It works fine whilst driving, is this due to the compressor running whilst driving? Must be a very slow leak.

YES, and if u dont replace the bags ASAP u'll loose the compressor too....he's not designed to continuous work.

Ok going to change the bad air spring this weekend.
Can get one from paddocks complete with clips for about £68.
Is this a good price? Also will it be any good because i have read alot of bad comments on here about them using Britparts.
Anyone else had one from them and what result did you get.
Also just been reading up on my RAVE cd and it says i need to depressurise my system using testbook and when done re pressurise using testbook. Is this necessary?
Will it not re pressurise when i start the car up?

Also read that you should change them in pairs. Why do you have to do this? When the other one goes i can just replace it then cant i?

I recommend u to replace both a if u can afford to not have an uneven suspension, a new one is working better and different as an old one..... and they are made by Dunlop......good price and quality

you have to do the pair or the old one will fail very quickly.

^^^^ of course......and the new spring is inflating quicker then the old one and the SLS will get uneven readings from the sensors even on plane ground so the car will rise first on the new side then after a while on the tyred one ...just a thought.
