Does nayone know which of the numbers on the injectors is the correct on for the ecu, as i wrote them all down re assamebled the engine and then cehcked with my nanacom and the codes are different format altoughter to what i wrote down.

The injector codes are the letter and number codes. For example my codes are

cyl

1 NLNHA 4
2 NCDDC 2
3 NMBBA 1
4 NCBCA 3
5 NGBCA 4

Remember that number 1 cylinder is nearest to the waterpump ie the front of the engine

When I recoded a new injector and checked the codes on the others, it was just the letters as they are stamped on the top of the injectors. ( with HawkEye ).

I saved this a while ago from an other site(seems to be correct):

"I haven't used Nanocom that much (read once), but have still got it installed on my PC. Looking at the setting page it displays it as 5 digit code as per any other diagnostic tool... unless I'm missing something.

The first four letters are as per the injector - the 5 letter is then converted into a number...

For early ECU (MSB*****) and black top injectors:
A = 0 or 3
B = 1
C = 2

For later green NNN ECU's and green top injectors:
E = 1
F = 2
G = 3
H = 4
J = 5
K = 6
L = 7
M = 8 or 0

You can ignore any other numbers/letter on the injector"

Are they on the actual injector or the solendiod

The injector codes are stamped into the top of the body of the solenoid right beside where the plug goes into the socket.

All you need is the 5 letters.

By co-incidence, I did mine yesterday, but now it won't start, yet.

Hi. Just transplanted a second hand td5 engine into my discovery as last one dropped the bolt out the oil pump. Now in process of recoding the injectors with a nanocom. Wondering if someone can explain to me if the 5th code letter is A it needs to be changed to 0 or 3. How do i know which value to input please? Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully give me an answer. Thanks.
