Mmm... did a long towing journey at the weekend and brought a car on a trailer from London to Anglesea. All was fine, cruise control heaven, no abnormalities..
Today I took the trailer back to my mate, just a couple of junctions down the motorway.
The temperature guage shot up, so I backed off the throttle and put the heater on full blast. It would blow hot then cold then hot then cold... and so on. but the guage returned to normal.
On the way home, the temperature shot right into the red, I lost all power and pulled over onto the hard shoulder to let it cool down. opened the bonnet and there seemed to be no coolant in the expansion tank, so I opened the cap very slightly and coolant came rushing in with a big ol' hiss...
No cream on the 710 cap, but me fears are the head gasket has gone pop...
what do you think??
