TD5 fuel fillter

Hi Guys just put a new fuel fillter on my 1999 td5 which i got from landy dealer but pump seems to be noisier now was told to always fit landrover fuel fillters on a td5 but the one they gave me is a UFI fillter what do you guys think

how long days or minutes

only just fitted it and was noisy has been for an hours run still the same

Are you talking about rear fuel filter in O/S Rear Wheel Arch??

If so, they can be noisy especially when priming. - Did you follow the sequence?? Key in to Position 2, pump accelerator pedal 5 or so times in succession. Pump should then run for a few minutes.

I have had a tone that changes as air is expelled - difficult to describe the noise. Like the normal fuel pump, but higher pitched and fluctuating...
