Hi

got my self a tidy 2001 TD5 auto Discovery II GS

having problems with the left had front brake dragging gently, when I got her the disk was new but warped and blued with heat.

Fitted new disks/pads/calipers/sliders last night and the same front left wheel is slightly dragging after a run compared to the other 3.

I remove the caliper the wheel turns normally.

No warning lights on the dash, and abs / traction control all work as expected

any ideas!

Try squeezing pistons back with the relevant wheel off. Do they move back relatively easily - ie is brake fluid able to flow through the brake hoses OK ? (hoses can swell internally & block pressure release if damaged or contaminated)

Cheers guys

Don't think it's master cylinder as it's a dual circuit one and all the other wheels are free

Will disconnect flexi and blown through with air line and see

My worry is its the abs pump

Don't disconnect the hose, just try pushing the pistons in. If the hose is a problem, it's very very unlikely to be a temporary blockage you can dislodge with air, it will be swelling or distortion of the hose liner, which will allow higher pressure through, but trap very low pressure - just enough to cause brake drag.
