td5 diff is it same as 300tdi

hi just wondering if the td5 rear diff is the same ratio as the 300tdi and if it will fit my 300tdi any help would be great thanks

might be some difference between the splines...disco 2 all have 24 splines and as far as i know disco 1 just those after VIN JA03somethin', before that they were with 16 i think....but i cant bet on what i've said... u better investigate further.

you will find diff case studs a bit longer as later has thinner flange around bolt holes
