Hi, I am wanting a head for my discovery and have been offered a defender head, does anybody know the difference, is it the cam or the injectors as it would be handy just to swop the complete head,
Regards,

John

i haven't the faintest but for the guys who know it would probably help if you told us more about the engine rather than just the car.. for example, a V8 discovery head wont fit on a td5 defender..

the heads are the same but you will have to use your old injectors remember where they came from because they have to go back to the cylinder they came from as all are numbered individually and programed to the computer otherwise you will have to have them all reprogramed to the car again . so no1 injector no1 cylinder and so on head job is easy do fit new seals to the injectors top and bottom though as these are prone to leak and fill the engine with diesel also fit the new head on steel dowls not the plastic ones

Sorry as I put TD5 in the title, I thought this would have clarified it as my understanding is TD5 stands for turbo diesel 5 cylinder and not V8 discovery,
