How difficult would it be to change the clutch in the field, we have no work shop as such but plenty of tools and have a hole in the ground we can push it over I am not bad with a spanner and there is plenty of muscle on call for any heavy lifting.
somebody is downloading a haynes manual for us but any cheats tips and corner cutting would be much appreciated
thanks in advance Sorea
PS . shes a great old girl 99 td5 very high milage

You might drop the gear box assembly over a pit but it's a substantial lump and you need to have a reliable way to support it, i think some people take out the interior and then lower the gear box to the floor.
I did mine a while ago but I took out the engine.
Get hold of a new pilot bush (the bronze bush in the middle of the flywheel) and put it in a jar with oil about 3/4 of the way up the side of the bush, its porous and soaking it for as long as possible will load it with oil.
