Hi all,

I have been told about all the advantages of fitting a performance inhancing super chips, better performance better mpg etc. All the manufacturers would have you beleive theirs were the best buy. Has anyone on landyzone got one fitted, if so what one, and are they as good as they say they are.
Has anyone on had any problems after fitting one? I am just trying to find out if its worth the extra outlay. I bought my disco 2 for pulling my caravan so my biggist concern is better mpg, I'm not too fussed about performance, if that was my main concern I would have bought a sports car!!!!!!

Thanks again for all your help

Hi mate, im sorry that i cannot tell you about chips, but i had my 2002 TD5 remapped because, i also tow a caravan. i have a 26ft twin axle luner lexon, and to be honest i dont even know i have it on the back..
the difference that i have noticed is that you hardly ever have to change gear, or boot it before you change gear. its is so torqie, the fuel is not brillant but it is a lot better than it was before. Their really is a difference for the better.
since i had mine done all the lads at work who drive 4x4 (not all Landrovers) have had theres done also. but its seems they want me to make the first move.
hope that is some help. was it worth it ?? a big yes

got mine for towing also. i tow a 26ft twin wheel swift conquerer about 1780kgs laden. we have six in the car with bikes on top and i get about 25mpg. take the van and bikes off, lose the kids and go for a spin and it puts a huge smile on me face. trouble is if you leave it on all the time you find that you drive too aggresively and mpg suffers. remap is supposed to be better but plug and play suits me fine.
