i am confidant enough now that i have owned the td5 for some while to go for a remap, i have chosen dynachip to do the work as he seems well respected on here and one or two other forums, spoke today and the work will be carried out shortly, i have logged the mpg, o-50, 40-70 figures and will post how it performs after the remap, just for those who would like to know it is a 2000 manual 80,000 on the clock no egr, no cat, rear box removed with side exit behind wheel, i will kepp you posted.

Excellent Big E, look forward to seeing your data.

I had Mike fettle mine a couple of weeks ago and she runs lovely now, exactly as I'd hoped, so very pleased with his work.

My objective was more torque and engine response between 1750 and 3000rpm and that is what I got. I have only tried driving her a bit hard once and was VERY surprised how swift she is now!!!!

Cheers
Dave

Having mine done shortly [ maybe next week ] If everyone tells it like it is, I carnt bloody wait!! Talked to mike last night an booked it. So if anyone in Cornwall wants theirs done soon give him a ring, he's on his way down :D:D

I hope to get mine done this week, (in Devon), so possibly combining his trip down this way.

Dont know what day it is yet....fingers crossed!

mr. dynachip rang me today apparently he has another job in lowestoft so looks like this week may be the one.

Every time I drive mine now, she is a complete delight.

You won't be disapointed

Ditto !.

I actually dont think I,ve read or heard anywere of someone who wasnt over the moon with the results of a remap on their TD5 !

Having had mine done for several months now, and for driving style to settle back down, I,ve found an increase in fuel economy. This is only between 1 and 2 mpg, but considering how much more responsive the engine is, I think this great.

As I type this Mike is currently working on mine.

He has found a little bit of oil in the injector harness so another job added to the list to sort.

Will be very interested in the out come of his work...:)

Yep, all done but only driven it a couple of miles.......very nice.

Smooth and free reving with more grunt low down.

Also found out I need a new MAF, order and will be picked up from Bearmach in the next hour to fit later.

Got a 20 mile drive home....think I will go via the hilly route!

cant be my lucky week no word yet, thought it might be on as he had bmw work in my area, no hurry though.
