heres one thats driving me mad and emptying my pockets .my 2002 td5 discovery was fitted with an ascroft autobox in feb 2010 by ourselfs and two days ago driving at 70 mph the trans just went netural no warning lights and i had to call the recovery truck to get home . i had noticed on some mornings weeks before there was a delay before the gear engaged or it needed a push of the throttle for it to engage . changed the oil and filter, oil smelt burnt and when started up it worked when cold (worked as in it drove 5 feet then nothing )but as it warmed up nothing at all no foward or reverse . what could cause a total failure ?

speak to ashcrofts

yea we spoke to ashcrofts and the will repair it under warranty .we removed it this morning but its still going to cost us alot as we have to ship it back to the uk from the caribbean to get it rebuilt and ship it back ..:(

i was just wondering if anyone had come across this before
