Has anyone had any experience of a TD5 auto 80" trailer, I have built one, on the first light use it seems pretty good, but I am now re working the suspension to suit the weight.:)

Hello Cartoonhead, Yes I know the V8s are popular and light, but unless you spend a lot of money on them you can be fighting all the time to keep them in tune!

Interesting read and a cracking project there, have you driven it in anger yet?

No not used it properly yet! the club had a fun day with a couple of sections so I tried it there, but I had fetched it out a bit early and I knew that I needed to rework the suspension, that I am doing now,

I plan to start using it next year if its ok.

I am in the Chiltern Vale Land Rover Club, what are you in?

I am also a member of CVLRC :)

Never made it to a event still! I always end up with Anglian Rover Owners Club who I am also a member of.

Will definitely come to one of the CCV events to have a look at your motor next year would love to see what a td5 can do.

Yes will be nice to see you there, we have only just started running CCV s and they are few and far between so I will probably shake it down on the tail end of a RTVs
