Td5 auto change up problem

W plate disco td5 auto.
Got an intermittent problem , mostly when cold. Get up to 20 miles an hour then no gear change up and the truck over revving. Had new gear box oil and filter any ideas?

Im no expert but search on here torque converter, they need to be warm before they go into top but this happens at about 50-55mph, someone will help ya mate, mine does this when cold 2001 auto es.

That's torque converter lockup is at 54mph u can be in top gear at around 30mph depending on engine loading and speed.
I very cold weather in the winter the gearbox can hang back but only for a couple of 100 yards or so then all is ok, mine did last winter.

So how long or how far does it last for ?.

About a mile or so. ( a London mile or so). And that is with or without a trailer behind . Local gearbox boys are saying it could be a soloniod in the box? Today i Will be trying to get it plugged in to a computer to check for misfires and such.
