gotta a hydraulic oil leak coming from the ACE block under the driver's seat...it appears to be the seals leaking . in the garage at the moment having those replaced but is the only way to bleed the system by connecting up to a computer and clearing the fault codes / air blocks or can it be done by physically putting the suspension about a bit?

in terms od the seal replacements what kinda of cost would you expect that to be in a garage to replace?

Cheers
Mike

Those seals are easy to replace...... and usually the ACE system is self bleeding(regardless of what is written in the manual.... i've replaced two pipes and the seals, refilled the reservoir, went for a ride and everything became normal....just watch the fluid level untill it stabilises)

im having the same probelm on a td5, 2000.... ive replaced the seals on the front yet its still leaking from the same place, any other ideas?

car back from the garage tomorrow so i will let you know how i get on....sounds like from your experience i'm still going to have the issue too..

:(:(

seals changed and pipes still leaking , could it be the ACE block that needs changing too before looking into the dreaded "changing pipes" episode....?

2nd hand ACE blocks are on sale for around £50-£75 which seems reasonable?

the pipes seem to be around £80 , is that each and do i need to replace all 4....? in which case it's now starting to get expensive.

I have read alot of posts that say it is possible to disconnect and bypass the ACE system....how do i get that gone , what is involved and is this cheaper than replacing all of these pipes , seals and ACE block?

Lots of questions but need to gather all of these facts before i decide what path to take next...HELP HELP asap

if you replace the ACE block you will have to have the car re-programmed which is extra money on top so i would say, go for the pipes. Im still trying to find the problem but having no luck.
