Hi all....

rear suspension failed on the bags, these were replaced 16mnths ago so not chuffed... has anyone done a conversion to springs and if so how did you get on in comparison in ride height and handling etc???
Also does anyone recommend a kit?
Expect this has had coverage before so would be intersted to know how you got on?

thanks in advance Stew

On Monday I am taking mine to the shop since my rear suspension is falling as soon as the car stops.

I will ask about this change. Already, the mechanic I have 10 km´s away (and is not official but specialized in Land and Range Rovers) told me when asked about fixing the problem that he and his clients ALWAYS change to springs when air suspension fails.

I am still shocked about the answer. Therefore I will take mine to a place that has been recommended to me by the Land Rover club in Spain and try to find out through another source about it.

As soon as I have any news I will report.

If you know anything in the meantime please let me know to further investigate.

This is a simple issue......u have to replace the bags...cheaper then the conversion and after u have them(try paddocks) its an easy(max. 1 hour) job which u can do yourself without probs......and u will still enjoy the benefits of SLS. If it was a system problem then u must had have some warning on dash....search this forum and u'll see the procedure.

I could see the benefit of a spring conversion if I was into serious offroading, but then I'd have got myself a Defender. One of the benefits of the Disco 2 is the handling with the air suspension - so I'd replace the bags and be done with it.
