TD4 needs help

Hey guys.
I own an '02 Freelander TD4. Unfortunately the great spring flood that wiped Serbia clean also managed to wet my Landy , he was under the water for 5 days .
I have managed to repair almost everything, however the ECU is giving me troubles. ECU was repaired, it worked fine, then all of the sudden throttle pedal stopped working. I have checked all leads and wires, resistance on the sensor itself and it seems the ECU is actually to blame since everything before it works well.
I have found a good deal for the ECU, immobilizer and the key and my question is do I need anything else.
So the idea is to get parts for the DIY "plug'n'play", so if I get ECU, immobilizer and the key will that be enough to just switch around on my car and avoid going to the service garage?

Wow, that's a bit of bad luck, hope you get the old girl sorted.

I don't know the ins-and-outs of replacing those bits. One thing that springs to mind is that I think the ECU stores the 'distance traveled' internally and the figure is also stored in the speedo gadgetry. If the 2 differ I think it gets annoyed. How annoyed I don't know and I may be completely wrong, maybe someone who knows more can comment.

Does the ECU on the TD4 control engine speed directly? On the L Series I believe it sends signals to the fuel pump which controls engine speed. If that's the case it could also be the other components that are faulty.

The response on this indicates that the ECU disables/ignores the throttle on start up. So does your ECU think the motor is in start mode? Is it something else that is telling the ECU that the car is in start mode? Could be some other sensor that is wrong rather than the ECU itself. Possibly the key barrel / mechanism?

I guess it could be some other sensor, after all the car was under water, who knows what could be wrong.
You did give me some good pointers and I will check it out over weekend.
I also started to suspect crankshaft sensor could be faulty, some guy had exactly the same symptoms like me (flooded also, but it's a 1.2 petrol Fiat), car started, throttle was functional, then after several days it died. Car will start but no throttle and unbalanced restless idle few seconds after start (like on my Landy) so I will check that out also.
