td4 facelift model

i have about 7.5 k to spend and looking to get the td4 post03/04. can anyone give me some pointers on what to look out for? many thanks rob

Just so you have some kind of goal post to go by...
I bought my 04 TD4 facelift 3dr Sport with 47,000 miles and full land rover service history for £6800..

Though there wasn't much tax or MOT on it..... 2.5-3 months

Though I've just MOT'd it on Friday and it went through with a Fast Pass and no advisories at all.

I was curious about the emissions having done the EGR and having a RoverRon box fitted (Which is turned up to 10)
it went through at 0.03
Which I suppose doesn't get much cleaner..

Just have a look round and do your research before you commit to one.

I picked up an 04 Td4S 5 door manual, facelift model, 12 months MOT with 70K on the clock for £6K. Take it for a spin to see how it drives and make sure everything works, service history is a bonus though not essential as mine had none. I would steer clear of the 1.8 petrol though, prone to head gasket failure due to small coolant capacity.
All cars have their faults at some time or other so don`t let the tractor drivers put you off.
