I rest mi case!!! after knowing all the above, you paid money for it????

And then come on to a forum to moan cos its ****e???
Actually I did not know about the service history until after I bought the car.As for the engine being replaced I did not realise at the time that 90 out of every 100 freeklanders that are made suffer from this ailment, just my luck to find out the hard way.All the other faults have happened since I have owned the car.So your theory about me knowing all the above before I bought it is far from correct. It would seem that you are in self denial about the realiability of the Freeklander.I would say that any poor fool that has parted with their hard earned wedge for one of these junkheaps has got every right to complain. What would you think of a Sony TV that cost you wads of cash just to find out it would be in the repair shop more than your living room and then have Sony deny that the fault exists. While we are on the subject of deception I have just been told today that the Cam belt on a V6 Freeklander would cost over 20 hours labour at a Land Rover dealers to replace it.I wonder how many owners have been sold one of these cars by Land Rover dealers and not been told that the belt has to be replaced at 100,000 miles at this ridiculous cost (Engine out or Body off). That is what I call absolute madness.......flyboy2

I had belts (3 i think) replaced when engine woz out the other week. i believe the time allowed is 12hours, however i am sure Clutchdust will be able to verify.

WITHOUT whingin, I think that Widgets comments at the beginning of this thread sum it up - "I thought that 'it wouldn't happen to me', only other people's Freelanders were rubbish because they hadn't looked after it, or chosen badly second hand etc."

Hooray,Hooray,What a joyous day.The devil car has gone for good.Never will I have to ponder whether to take the car or the bus (afraid it will be the bus until I find a new car).A mentally ill person came and gave me a fistful of twenties for the thing (maybe he was a good christian or a lottery winner).Still the effect was the same, pure elation.
