How long would you expect a set of front discs to last. Took the TD4 in for a service today (Landrover Main Dealer) and they inform us the front discs are running "a bit thin" and will need replacing as well as all the pads/shoes. Oh it's an "04 model with 30,000 on the clock.

Bit of skullduggery afoot here me thinks, unless you've had some front end problems and not clog and anchoring the old hippo all the time no way should you need discs, pads yeah but not discs. Have em checked at an idependant seems like the stealers are are after stealing again !!!!!

All depends how you drive to how long they last, also whether its manual or auto makes a huge difference, I've seen 'em badly lipped at 24,000 miles and I've seen pads on the metal at 12,000 miles, so it's a bit of a "grey area".

dont think so they only last 5 mins , wouldnt suprise me if it were the second set lol,
as cd says you would normally be looking at around 24k for pads
