Hi peeps,

Currently thinking about a couple of Improvemtns (mods) to carry out on my 05 freelander td4(Bmw). I've recently upgraded the brake switch, only because the HDC/Tc lights came on the dash and LR said there was a newer part which I fitted no probs.

I'm now hearing about a crankcase breather filter mod??
Tbh I don't think I've ever had a "breather filter" mentioned on any of my previous services before.

Could someone please send me a link to the modified part, as I'm looking at buying it, perhaps ebay, Amazon? Unless there's a place to go and actually get one.

If I ordered one, are they worth it because I didn't even no it had to be changed in the first place, will the engine run better?

Thanks!!

No extra parts required. All the gaskets are supplied with the breather.

I'd still have a root around for old threads on this tho. Something in the back of my mind is telling me that some folks needed to modify the filter a little to get it to fit. It's going back a while so I could be wrong.

Got mine from BMW. Apparently they do an annual price increase so it was about £34 or so. Came with gaskets, wasn't too bad to fit, no trimming or anything, did air filter while I was on. Only thing I did worry about was I had to remove pipe from top of injector to get unit out and clip back in afterwards but didn't cause any problems.
