I bought a 52 plate landy on Friday private sale an was ok but sat clutch felt bit iffy having to pull it up a little as pedal sometimes didn't return to top, then after nipping out in my slippers an jimjams to drop time sheet at work the pedal stayed on the floor, typical I left phone at home too!

Anyway I tried bleeding it today with no joy,got straight fluid out the nip no bubbles after at least ten cylinders full, now it had new clutch an flywheel around 3k miles ago in March so I'm led to think it's gonna be the master cylinder myself but is it a possibility that the hydraulic release bearing has gone?

Think I'm gonna start with the master as easiest to do jus hope I don't have to be taking all the box off to do the release bearing as I may jus cry lol.

Any info appreciated thanks.

The hydraulic release bearing is actually the slave cylinder and would expect it would have been changed when clutch was done.
Ours went a few weeks ago and , clutch pedal flat to floor wouldn,t return but when I put fluid in master cylinder it came running out between bellhousing and engine so you might be lucky and it,ll be master cyl.

well I still have under tray on which will be catching it so I can't see it leaking,an I presume they'll have bought the kit with new bearing in as it does look pretty new and still had fluid in master cylinder when it'd gone
So bit bamboozled, gonna pick a spare up Tom hopefully so will see.
