Has anyone noticed that to switch the air con fully off,
If you notice that on the turn switch from hot to cold that if you leave the switch turn onto full cold and push the two buttons off,
I have found that the air con is still on, you have to move the turn switch just a little bit and you can feel it click off,
The other day I noticed that there was a little puddle under the car and wondered why when this switch is turned to full cold and the blower on you bring on the air con even though you have not pushed in the air con button,
I tried it with the cold switch just off full cold with the blowers on and no puddle,
First I hought I had a water leak but no.
I hope this makes sense.

If the fan is switched on, and the air flow switch is at screen, feet/screen, then the air con is on, even if the a/c switch is off.

billburn,

You mentioned '2 buttons off' - I take it that would be the A/C and the Re-Circ button?

I don't think the Re-Circ has any bearing on this.

As others have said it would be the screen choice on the rotary switch/selector that would make the A/C work without having pushed the A/C button.

Maybe I haven't understood your post though.

Singvogel.
