Hello Folks,

Driving round town tonight my TC light came on and when you shut down or start up now it has the TC failure. Coming out of a car park I clipped a curb with the rear passenger wheel could it be as simple as the sensor has dislodged. Is there anyway way I can find out where the problem is? Are these sensors easy to locate and test? I'm unable to use the rave cd due to using Mac's, sorry.

Thanks in advance.

Drew.

It's difficult to see how you could disturb a sensor by hitting the curb unless you have play in the hub bearing. But try pushing the sensor on that wheel in as far as it will go. See if it makes any difference. Sensor is at top of hub you will see wire coming from it. If it is tight try twisting it loose then push in until it touches reluctor ring.

Thanks for that. Is there only one sensor that goes into each wheel? I take it the abs uses the same sensors?
Is there there an easy way to do a system check or does it need the fault codes checking?
Thanks again

Yes one sensor to each wheel. Same sensor for ABS as for TC. Getting fault codes read would be good if playing with sensor produces no result. Don't hold your breath though if you have a duff sensor both TC and ABS lights should be on.
