So ive had the dreaded cow grid shudder in my 2008 RR Vouge 3.6 v8 and did a quick fix last year by changing the transmission oil and putting in mr tranny additive. A year on and 9000 miles later its slowly comming back, so I have decided to change the Tc. My dilemma is cost, is it best to buy a TC for £870 or £350. Both are guaranteed 12 months, why the difference in price.

Do ashcroft transmission do any parts for yours?
Where are the tc's coming from. Someone might be better to advise you from experience. :)

New? Used? Reconditioned? Dealer? Independent?
Sometimes & depending where it comes from a recon can be more con!

If it was a quick and easy job to change then the cheap one many be worth it, but as its a bugger of a job unless you have ramp and all the other kit, do it right do it once, you wont wont to be going through it all again.
