Tappets

Hello,
i have an ex mod 110 2.5 n/a and think the rockers need adjusting(it had a new gasket and skim and dont thing they were adjusted properly/at all).

Been asked to get some info....

What feeler gauge size do i need to adjust the above ?

What needs to be open(valve number) to adjust what valve number

Hope this makes sense, as it does not to me lol

8 thou rule of 9,ie 8 fully open set 1 ,7 fully open set 2

Feeler gauge size is .25mm to be set when cold. Some good vids on youtube showing rule of 9 (on Land Rover).

Is 8 thou about .25mm ?

10 thou which is right for a 2.5 na ,8 thou is for tdi my mistake
