Does anyone have a picture guide of where to stick a bit of tape on the headlights of a 300Tdi Disco when you is venturing over to Frogland???

Needs it sharpish - on Ferry sat morn!!

SWMBO is threatening to make me venture into Halfrauds and part with about 6 quid for some bits of rigid sticky tape when I got rolls of gaffer tape that'll do the same job.

Surely somebody has the knowledge - I've done my own head in trying bits of tape on the lights out the front tonight - I think it was a mixture of being tired, and staring at the headlights point blank.

I'm not a tight arse - I just object to the fact the bloody things always fall off about 2 hours after I get off the ferry even when I've followed the bloody structions to the letter.

Least wit gaffer tape - there's always a roll handy.

Apart from that I'm prolly only gonna be driving it for 20 minutes in the dark on Saturday night - rest of the trip we'll be in the hovel in the Vienne or in the fancy gite in Normandy that SWMBO fancied off the interweb.

There's a small sloping area to mask on the left of centre on the glass about 1/2inch in size. Also in France the lamps must be masked even in daylight.

I don't bother, just turn the headlamp adjuster to 1.

How many French/German/Belgian/Dutch Trucks/Cars/Bikes do you see coming off the ferries with the lights masked? They're a rare breed that do.

Besides, it's really difficult to mask the modern lights that have the beams focused in the reflectors & those stupid things they sell on the boat or at the AA/RAC shops are just a plain rip off. Useless they are, don't help at all. Sorry.

/Rant Off

Gaffer tapes a good'n for early Landy lights though (see above).

Vic.

It's not possible to do it on all cars.

Can't do it on my '40.

But then it's so low, doubt I would blind anything but the local vole population .
